Barcelona is a city of dreams. I fell in love with it instantly, the beauty of Gaudi and his underwater paradise, the artistic undertone that reveals itself upon every streetcorner. The smell of the sea and the feel of the sand, the great amount of strange trees I've never seen before. Barcelona revealed itself to me in an abundance of lush green and vast blue, and I look forward to the day I return.

Oh Maartje en de avonturen die ze in Nepal beleeft allemaal! Ik ben wel blij dat het goedgekomen was met het hele karma verhaal zeg, boo :s apart van dat klinkt het daar echt heel erg geweldig, ik ben blij voor je dat je het kan meemaken (en weg van de vreselijke nederlandse zomer kan zijn!). beautiful pictures:) i LOVE barcelona and the "feeling" the city has...i miss that place...and they've gotten so much further on the cathedral:D i love gaudi...its so fascinating and so pretty. where did you live? i lived right off la rambla when i was there:) sounds like you had a really really good time:)

It has an incredible vibe indeed... and I think they still have until 2044 to go with the Cathedral, really taking their time ;)

We stayed in a district called Marina (around 20 minutes walk from the centre) at Ben's sister's house who lives there :)

lieve emma,
toen je er nog veel in schreef bekeek ik jouw LJ vaak stiekem omdat je me zo leuk leek :) nu had ik even een vraagje voor je :$ ik ben zelf in december naar barcelona geweest maar mijn geheugenkaart is stuk gegaan en nu ben ik al mijn foto's kwijt :'( zou ik een paar van jouw foto's mogen gebruiken voor een opdracht op school (ik zit op een kunstacademie in engeland)? (ik weet dat ik ze ook gewoon kan printen maar het zijn jouw foto's dus ik vraag het gewoon!)
& daarnaast: waar in Barbelona verbleef jij? enige hotels of goedkope jeugdherbergen oid die je me kan aanraden?

Jeetje ik zie dit bericht nu pas!! :o Als je er nog wat aan hebt mag je zeker wat foto's gebruiken :)

Ik verbleef bij een kennis in Barcelona dus van hotels/youth hostels weet ik niet zoveel van af... maar er zit ook veel informatie daarover op internet :) Dit leek me wel een toepasselijke site: http://www.hostelworld.com
